been busy yesterday.. errr.. not really that busy, there's just some few errands to do at home (of course plus the stroll at the mall and watching HP) :) hehehe..

hmmm.. anyway, just got back to work again after attending the lecture / seminar at our school auditorium about the promotion and awareness about the secondary cause of death here in the Philippines and in the whole world, the cervical cancer.

as we all know, cancer is a very deadly disease, while on the lecture / seminar, the doctor from st. luke's hospital discussed the spread, types, acquisition, stages and prevention of the said disease. i was shocked when the doctor said, cervical cancer can be acquired by having an active sexual life (god! i was like, 'what if you're married? then your chances of being prone is very high?', 'what about people having pre-marital sex?' stuffs like that). she also said that the younger you get involved with sexual activities the prone you are of having HPV (HPV or Human Papilloma Virus, the virus that carries or can lead to cervical cancer). another way of acquiring is through skin to skin contact with other people who has an HPV but if you have a high body resistance there's a low 0.3 possibility to be not diagnosed. there were no symptoms about this cervical cancer, it was only detected when its already on its 2nd or worst, on malignant stage. the only best thing we can do to prevent this is to have a vaccine, to have anti-bodies to fight against this disease.
